Aurora

I saw you once before, you dance atop the Earth.
Allure I fathomed not when on your face I looked
Though mist my view impede, your beauty still shone forth.
Besotted heart is mine ‘neath you, a cosmic queen.

I see you now again, The beauty from above
From sky come here below, please join me for a time
What can I do for us to meet, because my love
When through my door you come, dark rooms will fill with light.

No drug compares, the way that you intoxicate
Blot tabs of you, your presence I can start to feel
Surround me now, I’ll be a brush and you the paint
This house engulfed, goddess contained, my eyes you burn.

Grey walls before, now painted in your hues
Green pink and blue contour ‘round objects each,
Like astigma, how you distort my view
My brain infest, you I will ne’er forget.

The night it draws unto its melancholic end
Before I know, the sun arrives to see you off
Return you must, to throne above, like fate has penned
From view, your afterglow it fades, and I’m alone.

From you, one glance and I, would sign away in blood
My life I’ll spend in search, for that one glimpse
I’ll stare skyward, though undeserving of your love
Through clouds and mist I hope, that once again I’ll see,
Just that glance at your beauty.
